The lap band does help me in knowing when too much is too much, or when I’ve been eating too much, too fast. I’ve gotten pretty good at recognizing signals. There are still moments where I find that I cannot eat what I’d like to, but usually, I can still manage to consume more than I probably should for optimal weight loss. It is striking this balance which has become trickier. The Atkins meal replacement bars are pretty good. I’m not completely convinced that they are fully meal replacement bars. When they are treated as a snack, it becomes easier to eat too many, and thus defeat the purpose of a lower carb snack. Still, it might follow that one can still avoid eating too much and lose weight.
