Bonefish Grill

We had an early early dinner at Bonefish Grill.  The waiter was good.  I had checked out the lunch menu before, and wanted to try the Corn Cakes with Shrimp and Creole Sauce.  (It wasn’t on the dinner menu.)  I might have been content with the shrimp and scallops, but the waiter said that he’d check if they still could prepare some.  Indeed, he came back saying that they could.  We also split an appetizer of Bang Bang Shrimp, and that was very good.  We may need to do some Wednesday evening when Bang Bang Shrimp is only $5.  A funny part is that since the surgery (lap band) my stomach is smaller, and I might not even be able to eat all of a single appetizer of Bang Bang Shrimp.  The sauce is quite delicious.  I had maybe 3 or 4 small shrimps, which I cut up into smaller bite sizes.  I required a to go box for the rest of the remaining Corn Cakes and Shrimp with Creole Sauce.  I end up putting the to go containers into smaller portion controlled containers.  I got 2 containers from the food that I brough home from the restaurant.  The primary purpose for eating out was to use up the Bonefish Grill Gift cards, which would have expiring values on them soon if they were not used up.  Dad says that he read where about 86% of the gift card’s value generally gets used.  So, about 14% of the money placed on gift cards does not.  There are many gift cards that were bought over the holidays.  I guess that not everyone uses up all of the values on those gift cards.  Some people do, but then there are some who leave even more unused gift card values on the table.
